not a whole lot of words necessary on this post.
just a really amazing location with some really awesome people involved to create this epic magic.
embrace this sunshine and feel all the feels. ya i said it.
I feel like i could write a novel of thanks to Braden & Noelle for making this workshop happen.
In this industry, for most of us anyway, we sit at home or at a coffee shop all day usually alone trying to win people over, make a good connection with a potential client, or editing hours upon hours until we're semi 'caught up'. Let's be honest, if we put on real clothes or talk to another human on a weekday, things are happening people!!!! Don't get me wrong, we all LOVE what we do and are super fortunate that we are able to make a living out of what we love most; tell peoples love stories.
It's such a great feeling to look back on the year and see all of the people who allowed me to be a part of their lives and capture some of their most important moments.
I'm thankful everyday that I am able to do what I do and it's all because of YOU.
So this year I just want to say THANK YOU for trusting me and letting me into your lives. I love you all!
did this session in the spring and finally took some time to edit it. personal work gets pushed to the side sometimes during wedding season, but i'm so glad i finally got to dive into this beaut.
got it done in time for the end of the year so it still counts.
yay for photog friends that have gorgeous friends with red hair and pretty dresses.
there is really no easier way to see if someone belongs to another than by the way they look at each other.
it goes without saying, these two are meant to be.
when you've known the bride since before preschool, your role as 'photographer' takes on a whole new meaning. you try not to cry through the ENTIRE day and you take WAY too many photos, because you just can't help yourself. capturing this day will be one of my most favorite days from here on out. you two rock and i love you both!
Well Colorado-- we sure did try to plan for some nice weather, but snow greeted me when I landed, well played Denver. We waited for the snow to pass, then drove a few hours to spend the night in good 'ol Alamosa and then hiked up the sand dunes to create some awesome goodness and it was so worth it.
You may tend to see a pattern I like to follow// meeting new people and capturing just a little piece of their love story along the way.
This time I was in Maui and the couple was Dom & Erik. These two are the perfect example of a couple who embodies who they are, who they want to be, all the while, living in the moment.
2016....yes, yes, and yessss. I am beyond thankful that I am able to do what I do and be a part of these people's lives.
Captured some of my favorite people both in life, love, and marriage. The pictures below by no means sum up ALL that I have done this year, but I sure tried to get a little bit from a few of my favorites.
Sometimes you meet someone and you just know....yup I'm going to spend my life with this person. In this case-- that is exactly what happened. Kim called me the day after they met and told me how she found the perfect guy and is pretty sure they are going to get married. Two years and one awesome little guy named Brody later and here we are!
Let me tell you about these two. Briana & Kristian- you nailed this whole marriage thing!
They went to a courthouse on any other day. Made it official and decided they just wanted to have a big party with family and friends in a barn. Kristian put so much work into the space to make it the perfect venue to celebrate the marriage and he knocked it outta the park. Custom bar with a working front end of a car to frame out the wood and a welded BAR sign overhead. They had not one, BUT two bands who filled the night with unlimited dancing and entertainment. Did I mention everyone wore costumes?! Yes-- these are my kind of people.
